ABOUT ME
Psychological and emotional wellbeing are areas that I have been interested in for most of my adult life. I have over 20 years’ experience of working in the NHS, with a particular interest in the area of physical health and how changes in this influence our emotional wellbeing. I gained my qualification in Clinical Psychology in 2009.
My preferred style of working is one of collaboration, where we work together to understand your difficulties, and find a way forward that best suits you.
I have experience of working with a range of psychological difficulties and physical health conditions. For the past 15 years I have also specialised in the field of cancer. My interest in this area has led to the publication of several studies examining the experiences and needs of people with cancer, as well as being invited to speak at both national and international conferences.
In addition to my therapeutic work, I have several years’ experience of working as a senior university lecturer, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as trainee clinical psychologists, on the topics of clinical psychology and physical health.
